The most famous and unique Carnival in the World, balls, parties and masquerades in the streets and palaces.

ST. MARK'S DAY

This is the feast of the patron saint of the city. On this day it is an  appealing and romantic  tradition  that every man in Venice gives a single rose-bud, the "bòcolo" to his beloved lady.

FESTA DELLA SENSA (Ascension Day)

The Day of the marriage between Venice and the sea, In olden days the Doge would ride out in his ship, the "Bucintoro", and toss a ring of gold into the waters off the Lido. In our days become an historical  celebration.

VOGALONGA

26th Edition of the rowing Marathon all around Venice and the Lagoon.

VENEZIA SUONA (European Festival of Music)

Hundreds of musicians will play simultaneously all over the town to celebrate the music.

FESTA DEL REDENTORE

Religious ceremonies are held on Sunday in the Palladio's Church erected on the Giudecca to commemorate the end of the plague of 1577. The real festival, however, is held the day before: hundreds of  gaily decorated boats take up position in the "bacino" of San Marco to admire the glorious fireworks reflecting on the water.

One of the most important film festival in Europe, on the Lido di Venezia.

HISTORICAL REGATTA 

This is one of the most authentic holiday of Venice. From 3.30 p.m. 'till 7.00 p.m. four regattas are held, preceded by an opulent and evocative historic parade: the Doge and his wife, the Queen of Cyprus, ambassadors and ministers, bringing back to life the splendour of the Serenissima. It's almost a tradition by now that the sun is always shining. C.C.I. Programme: 6.9 - Dinner & Ball in costume 7.9 - Lunch, following the Regatta in gondola, cocktail.

MADONNA DELLA SALUTE

A popular party to celebrate the end of the 1630 plague in the magnificent votive church of the Santa Maria della Salute. Every year the Venetians across the votive bridge across the Canal Grande to light a candle in the church and eat seasonal sweets.
